Lincoln Park Zoo

We met Katrina and Alex at the Lincoln Park Zoo on Saturday - it was a great way to kick-off our busy Labor Day Weekend! The weather was beautiful and the girls had fun running around together. When we first went into the zoo, we went by the tiger habitat and the tiger was right up against the window - Charlotte almost jumped out of my arms! She was not interested in seeing that cat up close. She did like seeing the monkeys, though!

Alex found Charlotte's snack cup and took some out to offer to Charlotte.

They had the most fun climbing in and out of the eggs at the petting zoo - no interest at all in the live chicks right beside the eggs!


After the zoo, we went over to Chicago Pizza and Oven Grinder - amazing food but the worst restaurant to bring two toddlers! Everything seemed to be in miniature, from the bathroom to the booths. We even had one couple move because we were making such a ruckus! Oh, well, the girls had fun!
