Charlotte-isms

Charlotte talks all. the. time.

In the car, she asked why we weren't going - I told her we were at a red light and there were a lot of other cars. She yelled "Come on people, let Mommy go!"

She asked who made her dress before school last week...when one of the teachers complimented her, she said "Thanks, it's Osh Kosh!" It was like we were at the Oscars.

She is very into best friends...Addie and Miss Karla are typically her best friends, but if Mommy, Daddy or Susannah do something that she likes, she'll say "Your my best friend!" She'll turn pretty quickly, though, if we do something she doesn't like..."You're not my best friend!"

She tells us things are "not working," like her milk cup when all the milk is gone. The funniest is "my tush not working" when she has an unsuccessful try on the potty.

Today, I asked Charlotte what kind of cupcake she would like for her birthday. She told me a cherry cupcake. She wouldn't eat the cherry in her ice cream this weekend, so I was kind of surprised. I asked if she liked cherry and she said "I don't like cherries, but I like cupcakes!"

She says "Oo-la-la" when she thinks something is pretty or fancy...usually talking about her own outfit!

She says "poor dear" when something sad or bad happens to someone else - I think she got this from a teacher at school.
