12 month stats

We went for Charlotte's 12 month doctor appointment today and she passed with flying colors :) The doctor thought she was very social because Charlotte kept saying hi - apparently she wanted the doctor to pay attention to her, not to Mommy! Charlotte is in the 75th percentile for height (29.5 inches) and weight (22 lbs, 8 oz)...her head, however, is only in the 25th percentile! She got 4 shots and carried on for a few minutes, but actually got over it pretty quickly. The funny part of the visit is that she really liked it when the doctor looked in her ears! She also likes it when I clean her ears, so I guess that's her thing.

Charlotte started whole milk last week and had her first day without a pacifier today! Naptime was a little rough, but going to bed tonight wasn't that bad. Hopefully life without the pacifier will continue to be smooth so we can start moving away from the bottle soon, too. Charlotte still has 2 bottles of formula a day, but has her water and and whole milk in sippee cups. The formula is about the run out and we are very excited that we don't need to buy more!

After Charlotte's doctor's appointment, we met Maya and Naomi and their mommies at the park for a walk. The girls loved playing with Maya's dog, going down the slide, and sharing snacks - at one point, there were cheerios, gold fish, cheese crackers and puffs in the bottom of one of the wagons and they were all scooping up food as fast as they could. Charlote LOVES the wagon and especially seems to like the wind on her face - she was grinning the whole time. Daddy got some pictures of Charlotte in the wagon when we got home.
